He has mastered the sit

 Wolfie did the sit from his first try.  He has that down.  You just lift your hand and he sits before we even touch him. 🐾.  We are still working on the turns, need to watch a few videos because they are tricky.

 This is wolfie’s exam with distraction with unexpected people in the yard, who are playing with his stick and jolly ball.

 Today was the biggest test.  We took him in the hills behind our house where he has never been on leash.   This is where he runs wild and picks up dozens of sticks.   He only tried once to pick up a stick and immediately dropped it when told.  That is also huge because he never wants to let them go.  He cried for the first two minutes, but stayed on Jon’s left and we did our normal walk with him on the ILL.  Then quiet time on the porch, also where he goes nuts with sticks.

Distraction

 We walked the fence line of my son’s house with his gsd barking at Jon.  That is also Wolfe’s play buddy. 🐾

How is rhe training going?

How goes the ILL? If it is easy now to do, add in 'planted distractions' such as favorite toys being tossed or sticks.

We train the learning dog to choose to pay attention regardless of the situation or environment. Best way to train is to deliberately stage the training environment and work the learning dog against those items or things we know the dog wants.
